In case you haven’t noticed (and why would you, honestly), I haven’t updated this blog regularly in a long, long time. I launched it back in 2010 when I first struck out to try to make a career as a writer. I had a sense of where I wanted to go, but I wasn’t exactly sure how I’d get there.
Over the last eight years, I achieved many of my early goals and dreams. I became a regular contributor to my city’s daily newspaper, the Miami Herald, and I also wrote for their luxury lifestyle magazine Indulge and served as an editor at Miami.com. I published travel stories in an in-flight magazine (American Way) and in some of my favorite national travel magazines (Afar, Nat Geo Traveler). I figured out how to make a full-time living as a writer and I developed relationships with other writers and editors who championed my work. I learned how to write and report. I am oh so forever grateful for the journey I’ve been on and the path that’s ahead.
And I’m proud of the work that I put into this blog and the ideas it sparked and fostered. Eight years later, though, it doesn’t really encapsulate my interests as a writer, nor is it where I plan to put my creative energy. I’m also not ready to launch a new brand or online presence (although ideas are percolating), so for now, this is still my writer’s website. Please visit my About page and my Portfolio (which I do update regularly) to learn more about me and my writing. Thanks for your interest and for navigating to my website.
So for now, Wanderlust Chameleon, signing off! Over and out.
